Birthdays and Mothers Day!

Abbey recently celebrated her 8 year old birthday!  Katie helped out with putting a crown on her, reading her card, and giving her some cake!

On May 4th we celebrated Carrie's birthday who wished for the picture on the blog to exclude her.  K was, well not quite sure what she was doing while I was serving cake and coffee!

K and I went to get some presents for Carrie.  We gave her some flowers tonight!

Yes the baby is near!

Great start to my day off.  Bike ride with Katie and then mid-morning snack at the park.  Katie ate pretty much every snack that Carrie packed.  Close to 80 degrees today and then tomorrow it will be in the low 30s.  Got to love Texas weather!

First time ever - we had a birthday bash while watching the Rangers in the World Series. Not football season yet in Texas (especially since our teams stink)

Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas! Surprise, Surprise - snow in Texas. It was 73 yesterday and we went to the park, rode bikes, and Carrie ran and it was quite warm. Now it is cold and snowing. Here are several pictures from our short adventure outside to play in the snow.

Carrie is making these for dinner with for my family branch. Katie kept saying cake so we let her lick the spoon. She is starting to enjoy sweets like her dad.

Carrie went running and then Katie and I rode around McKinney and then met up with Carrie to give her some water. It was a nice morning.

This is not Katie related but kind of funny. Carrie always trims the bushes in our yard. This past go around she really trimmed them.

I was off today so we spent the day out and about and then at the mall. Katie did a bunch of walking on her own at the mall. Her afternoon nap turned into a 3 hour nap so we finally went in and kind of waked her up, so here is a picture of her still asleep.

Katie is turning into her mom. She loves books and here are a couple pictures of her when we came into the room to see what she was doing and guess what, she was reading. She is becoming very good at finding the dog in all her books.
